orchid CT Flower & Garden Show 2010 - Thursday, February 18th to Sunday, February 21st

Check out this four-day event filled with dazzling displays of flowers, plants, soils, fertilizers, garden tools and a wide variety of other garden related products. See exhibits for hundreds of vendors and catch some of the very informative seminars being held. Tickets are $14 at the door, seniors $12, children (ages 7-14) $2, and under 6 years old are free.

CT NOFA's 28th Annual Conference on Sustaining Connecticut: Growing Local, Eating Healthier, Living Smarter - Saturday, March 6th

The Connecticut Chapter of the Northeast Organic Farming Association's 2010 conference will feature green activist and entrepreneur Michael Shuman, author of The Small Mart Revolution: How Local Businesses Are Beating the Global Competition. This conference, presented by the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources, offers exciting educational opportunities for home gardeners at all interest levels - from the casual gardener to the garden enthusiast to the Master Gardener. It also gives you an opportunity to hear and talk to nationally renowned authorities on various aspects of garden design, maintenance, and plant selection.
